PAVING REPAIRS OVERVIEW VIDEO
Potholes create serious liability issues in parking lot and roadway areas due to the potential hazard to vehicles and to pedestrians.
Potholes can form during any season and should be repaired immediately before causing serious injury or damage. Patching repairs are a cost-effective way of eliminating further damage, liability, deterioration, and pavement related headaches.
The presence of these concerns does not mean that repaving or other major scopes are necessary. Repairing potholes before liability issues arise can avoid unreasonable injury settlements. Our proven technique of patching asphalt allows you to repair these particular areas in a cost-effective way.
The Repair Process:
Stage One – The broken, failed, or liability areas are identified as concerns that should be addressed.
Stage Two – The areas are cut square with a jack-hammer or saw cut (depending on the region or by request) and excavated to the aggregate sub base.
Stage Three – Asphalt is installed at an average compact depth of 3”.
Stage Four – Finally, edges are sealed with asphalt emulsion to improve bonding with the surrounding existing asphalt.
In situations with a large amount of patching in one parking lot or roadway, asphalt milling (or scarifying) options are also available, which uses specialized milling equipment to cut down on excavation time.

New England Real Estate Journal (NEREJ) recognized the work U.S. Pavement Services has done in the retail zone known as the “Golden Triangle” that straddles the Natick/Framingham town line. During the months of July and August a total of 5 properties in the 3 square mile area had asphalt and concrete work done. Retail titans Target and BJ’s Wholesale had milling grading, paving, curbing, concrete and asphalt patching as well as pavement markings done on site without disruption to business operations. The Shopper’s World plaza, which spans the width of the triangle, had extensive curbing repaired and replaced in multiple locations, reducing trip and tire hazards for visitors to the property. Papa Razzi restaurant received a complete crackfill, sealcoating and line stripe which instantly upgraded the property that directly faces Rt. 9 westbound in Framingham. At New England furniture favorite, Jordan’s Furniture, milling, paving, patching, sealcoating and custom striping of its large parking lot and access roads was completed with minimal business disruption despite the large scale, multiple scope project.Read Full Article >
